If They keep quiet the stones will cry out

I have felt an overwhelming sense of grief and sadness for quite awhile.  Some of the things I have seen here in Uganda I will never be able to erase from my memory. These things are not appropriate to even mention on my blog. It has brought such sadness to me it has affected me physically and emotionally.  I’m tired a lot but with Gods help and the love I receive each day from the staff and children,  I somehow still manage to walk to school and home each day.

The verse that comes to my mind during these difficult times is :

Psalm 56:8 (The Message Bible)

You’ve Kept track of my every loss and turn through sleepless nights each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book.

Psalm 56:8 (NLT)

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

It gives me great comfort to know God keeps track of all my heartaches and tears, So with this heaviness and grief and things I’ve seen and heard here. How much more so does God love us and grieve for what he sees in this world and yet he has grace and love for us still.  We have such a loving and forgiving God who deserves praise and thankfulness from us everyday.  If we do not it says in  Luke 19:40  If they keep quiet the stones will cry out!!!!

With this being said I want you to know with this heaviness comes great moments of joy.  The children here are so full of love and joy and when I hear my name called and they come running to me for a hug it is all worth it.

Thank you for all continued prayers.  In Christ
