In Darkness

In Uganda you get used to the power going out a lot, sometimes once a week and this last time was for 2 days.  And since there are no street lights here anyway it is total darkness at night.  I have flashlights and pop up little lanterns but even then it is not enough light to read for long.  They are not bright enough for reading.  I realized sitting in that darkness that is just how the world is without Jesus. If we as Christians do not show love to all just where they are and unconditionally and shine Gods Love Brightly the World is lost.  They see no difference in us and what the world has to offer. With a little light here in Uganda I can see in the darkness but just think of the difference we could make together such a brighter light.  We are called to be The Light of the World, to show the redeeming love of God.

So let us bring this amazing Light, the Love and Peace of Christ to a World that is in despair, darkness and no hope.  God is our only Hope in a world of Hopelessness, Peace for the Peace-less. He is our everlasting never changing love.

I close with this.   Matthew 5: 14-16

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.
